Computer repair started as a hobby and turned into the job

Nick has been taking computers apart and putting them back together since long before anyone was paying him for it. What began as curiosity — figuring out why a machine was slow, what a failing drive sounded like, how far an old laptop could be pushed — became the work he does every day.

The approach has not really changed: find out what is actually wrong before recommending anything, explain it in language that makes sense, and be straight about when a repair is worth doing and when it is not. Estimates are free because you should be able to find out what you are dealing with before you commit to anything.
